Americas Best Value Inn Houston at FM 1960 & I-45

We were in the US for the first time and waiting for a flight the next morning. The front desk staff were really kind and helpful: they let us use their phone to call and helped us order food. The room could use some updating, but for a one-night stay the experience was okay :)

I moved from Romero because the room there wasn't clean and had bugs all over the tub. The TV in the room they put me in here didn't work, so I went to the front office. A man said I could get a refund, which was fine since I'd booked earlier. But because I'd stayed there before, the woman got another room together for me. The TV was fixed, but there were no lights in that room. Later, after she checked the other room, I went back for things I'd left, including hygiene items on the dresser. I found a lot of them there, but one particular thing, a blunt, was gone.

They make sure to collect the money, but there's no room service. The receptionists are rude and nothing works. No breakfast, pool, or gym, just mold, roaches, bed bugs, and bad attitudes.

The room felt shabby and old, and it smelled. I had to unplug the really noisy refrigerator, but then another sound kept going from midnight until early morning. I couldn't tell where it was coming from, and even earplugs didn't block it.
