Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Houston NW - CY - Fair

When our original reservation fell through, we were stranded out of state, and the woman at the front desk was pleasant and very helpful in finding us a last-minute room. It felt like a miracle since everywhere else was booked for the nearby event. Check-in was easy, and $80 for one night worked well for us. The room was a little run down, as expected, but clean, with comfortable beds and a hot shower. The bathroom mirror was fantastic for doing makeup.

I'm extremely disappointed. We had only just reached the room when we opened the bed and saw hairs and visible stains on the sheets and blankets. They clearly hadn't been washed, which was unhygienic and unacceptable. The room also had a strong, unpleasant smell, and its poor cleanliness made us uncomfortable. For what they charge, this place should be decent, but it doesn't meet basic cleanliness standards. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

On their wedding day, a bride and groom were evicted because a couple of bridesmaids came to help the bride with hair and makeup. The hotel said there were too many people in the room. Forcing her out on a day meant for celebrating is disgraceful. The customer service was horrible.

I booked three nights and left the very next day. After housekeeping cleaned the room, two pairs of brand-new shoes were missing. When I asked about them, staff said they didn't know what happened. I asked them to check the cameras, but they refused. Customer service was horrible. Don't stay here.
