At around 3 a.m., I switched on the lamp and saw roaches scatter from under my shoe, with others crawling along the walls and dresser. I packed up and left right then. When I told the front desk, all I got was essentially, “Sorry, no refund.” The room looked tired and neglected. The chair at the desk was filthy, the furniture and appliances seemed ancient, the linens were stained and dingy, and the TV setup looked like it belonged in the 1980s. The air conditioning did work, at least. I travel quite a bit, and this was one of my worst hotel stays. The $56 price should’ve warned me. I know it’s a budget place, but cheap shouldn’t mean unacceptable. I won’t stay here again.

After staying here for 7 months and paying on time, I was told to leave and trespassed, even though I hadn’t broken any hotel rules. A curse word had been said, but it wasn’t directed at the employee, and nobody had been rude or called him names. Still, he made me and my kids go outside with our things in the pouring rain. The short man at the desk is always rude, doesn’t greet guests, and has a mean, negative attitude. He shouldn’t be working with guests that way. The place already has roaches everywhere.

They couldn’t find the room I’d reserved for the weekend. They offered a free upgrade, but that room and the lobby both smelled of smoke, and the fire alarm kept ringing before someone would turn it off. They said they’d issue a refund, but it never came. Getting a straight answer took a lot of repeating myself. The staff didn’t seem professional when answering questions and acted as if they couldn’t understand English when I asked about the refund. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I booked the nearby Holiday Inn instead. It cost a bit more, but at least I got the service I paid for without wasting an hour.

We had the kitchen supplies we needed to save money by eating in the room, and the place was clean, safe, and in a decent location. It isn’t a brand new facility, but the staff were polite and helpful. We’d come back.
