Red Roof Inn Houston East – I-10

I turned around and left without unpacking or even sitting down. The sheets were stained, the room smelled awful, and the mold was everywhere, including the walls, bathroom, and corners. It felt like it had been there long enough to pay rent, vote, and train the next generation. One breath and my lungs wanted to quit. The air might've been cleaner in the Upside Down from Stranger Things. The roaches were all over the place. When I switched on the lights, I was almost sure I'd walked in on a staff meeting. One seemed to pause like it was asking who invited me. I felt like I was trespassing in their home. This place needs a hazmat crew, an exterminator, a priest, a shaman, and maybe the CDC, not housekeeping. Red Roof should be ashamed to have its name tied to this biological experiment. Sleep in your car, a cardboard box, the parking lot, or the Upside Down. All of those would be cleaner, safer, and smell better. -1000⭐️

Both rooms I was moved to had roaches, no smoke alarms, damaged furniture, and bed covers with cigarette holes. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures, which felt like false advertising. There was a phone in the room, but it wasn't plugged in or working. Outside, there were lots of random people hanging around, including some people who were homeless and asking for money. The whole place felt unsafe. I booked five nights, but after all those problems I couldn't stay the full time. They still refused to refund any of my money. I was switched rooms twice during my very short stay, and I'm disappointed I couldn't get any of the cost back given the issues.

Alex did an amazing job keeping my room clean, and Nil was a very professional manager. Andrea at the front desk was so pleasant and gave great customer service. I had a great experience.

It was handy being able to walk next door to Denny’s, which was clean and friendly. Mr. Robert at the desk was especially nice and accommodating this morning. He was very friendly, and my room was nice and clean.
