Residence Inn by Marriott Houston Northwest/Willowbrook

Paid parking seems unusual when most hotels typically include it for guests staying on the property. The other thing I’d suggest is better shower pressure, since it was a bit lacking. Residence Inn by Marriott Houston Northwest/Willowbrook was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional, and it was a great place to stay.

There were roaches in the room, the toilet ran slowly, the heater was extremely loud, and the bathtub clearly needed deep cleaning or resurfacing. After the noise, poor service, and these other problems, the stay was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place or stay here again. I was in the area for work and spent four nights at this property, which turned out to be a mistake. Check-in around 6 PM was quick, but the front desk employee was visibly very sick, coughing and sneezing constantly. She said she thought she might have COVID and wasn’t wearing a mask. I felt for her, but guest health and safety should come first. The first night, the guests next door played loud music, screamed, banged on the walls, and stomped around until nearly 1:00 AM. I reported it the next morning. The employee never looked at me or acknowledged what I said, staring at her computer instead. When she finally answered, she abruptly said there were no rooms available to move me to. It was clear she hadn’t listened. She was rude and defensive. When I asked for a manager’s contact information, she pointed to a stack of business cards and said, “There.” Very unprofessional. She worked the morning shift throughout my stay and gave me unpleasant looks every day afterward.

I’ve been here for the past two weeks for work, and traveling away from home for the first time has been hard. Sarah, the kind woman at the front, has made the stay comforting. She’s listened while I talked about my struggles, work, and random things. Whenever something came up, she was quick to help. She’s gone above and beyond with her hospitality and generosity. I wish more people were as humble, professional, and amazing as she is. Sarah deserves all the kindness this world has to offer. Thanks for making Houston and the residence inn an enjoyable time. Sarah, you rock 🤘

The staff were great when I arrived, and the location is convenient, with everything I needed within 10 minutes. The parking lot lighting is really poor, though, and the entry and exit doors need updating so the keys work properly.
