It was handy being close to the highway, shops, and a gas station. I can't really judge the neighborhood, though, since I arrived at night and left while it was still dark. The room had no safe, so I wasn't comfortable leaving my laptop there unless you really trust it would be safe.
10/10
We'd been on the road since 2 p.m., and by nearly 1 a.m. the next day everything was closed. I needed a restroom, so my uncle pulled in at the Holiday Inn in Hudson, MA. After a terrible experience at the Holiday Inn in Drexell Hill, PA, I was bracing myself for another bad interaction. The employee was immediately courteous, friendly, and professional, and helped me out without any fuss. I was so grateful. I was too tired to ask his name.
2/10
The breakfast was disgusting, with ice-cold food and no tongs for the cinnamon rolls or bread. There was also a weird smell on the second floor. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.
2/10
The service was better than the room, but there was no air conditioning and the whole night felt stifling and suffocating. I was so exhausted I didn't keep searching for somewhere else. With no cable, the kids were bored and restless; they took cold showers now and then for brief relief. There were also a few unsettling moments when I lost consciousness. Worst accommodation of my life.
10/10
The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was amazing. I'd happily come back. Five stars!
