Quality Inn

The room was in awful shape, even though I’d booked a smoking room. There was no breakfast because, the attendant said, the manager wouldn’t buy food for it. They told me to go to Sonic instead. The lobby had no coffee and there were no ashtrays, also because the manager wouldn’t purchase them. The morning attendant and maid were rude. It was a sickening experience.

It was quiet, I felt safe, and I’d definitely stay again. I just needed somewhere to sleep for a couple of days while traveling. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent, with strong pressure and good hot water.

The front desk clerk told me four other guests had already left that day because they refused to stay. I could see why. The smell was nauseating, the place felt very unsanitary, and there were stains on the bedding. The floor hadn’t been cleaned, there was hair in the tub, and both the toilet seat and toilet paper holder were broken. I told the clerk, but they wouldn’t refund my money. Absolutely disgusting.

For three nights, nobody came to do housekeeping, empty the trash, or replace the two towels or single bar of soap. The room wasn’t clean to start with, the shower curtain was moldy, and the slow drain left me standing in water. The air conditioner was dirty and made annoying noises. Breakfast was called complimentary, but it was just coffee, Nutri-Grain bars, and cold cereal. I travel for work and have stayed at enough hotels to know these are basic things that shouldn’t require a complaint before anyone addresses them. Poorly run and poorly cared for.
