Vento Hotel

Check-in was quick, and they honored my late checkout request. The renovated room was beautiful, spacious, and felt clean and fresh. The bathroom was incredibly clean, and the fridge was already running when I arrived, so I didn't have to wait. I'd stay here again.

The air conditioner didn't work, and when we asked to switch rooms, they refused. I also found out the hard way that Vento has mice and cockroaches. I stayed here a couple of years ago with my ex. The room was in my name, but after an altercation I told the woman in the office I was leaving and asked her to take my name off it, saying he needed to put it in his name if he stayed. She said, “no problem.” Three weeks later, when he moved out, he'd trashed the room, and I learned it had never been taken out of my name. I was told they knew I'd moved out, but they still held me responsible for his behavior. They hire people who don't speak English, and apparently she hadn't understood me. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're desperate.

We'd paid for three rooms and made our reservations days ahead, while traveling from Texas. An hour before arriving, we called and were told everything was ready and they'd wait for us. But when we got there, they said no rooms were left. They sent us to an unrelated hotel that was really ghetto, smelled of cigarette smoke and weed everywhere, had no elevators, and often had nobody at the front desk. We were given keys and put our things in the rooms, then couldn't get back in because the doors wouldn't open. It happened with all three rooms. We asked for our money back, but they said they couldn't do anything. When we returned to this place, they told us the same thing. A horrible experience all the way through. Not reliable at all.

Parking was convenient, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room at Vento Hotel in Hutchinson was clean, with a comfortable bed and a fresh, updated feel. It was quiet and relaxing, just what I needed to unwind after a long day.
