The employees were friendly and helpful, and the third-floor room was manageable even with no elevator, though hauling a suitcase up and down was inconvenient. During the snowstorm, the parking lot and sidewalk by the side entrance hadn’t been cleared, and I drove over a curb hidden under the snow. The hallways and stairs smelled like marijuana. My key stopped working twice over three days, so I had to visit the desk. I was charged twice, but the extra charge was refunded after three days. The room itself was nice.

The $100 deposit needs to be much more obvious when people book. My wife made a reservation around 8 pm, planning to arrive about 9, but we only found out about the deposit at check-in and had to make last-minute plans to stay with a friend. She hadn’t seen the information when booking; we eventually located it after searching extensively. Hotel.com directed us to contact the property. When I called the front desk the next morning, they said we needed to cancel 24 hours before check-in to get a refund. I understand there are rules, but the deposit should be clearly shown along with the reservation details.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were very clean. Staff were friendly and professional, and the small breakfast was good for what it was. I had a great weekend here and would stay again. Thanks to the Super 8 staff.

The room’s cleanliness was unacceptable. We found a bed bug crawling on my wife’s pillow, and the whole bed smelled strongly of urine. The odor clung to us the next day, so we had to shower again before checking out. I took a video of the bug but was too tired to bring it to the front desk, and I wouldn’t be surprised if other rooms had the same problem. I’ve had similar cleanliness concerns with Super 8, Motel 6, Sonesta, and Days Inn, and I won’t spend money with these companies again. People deserve clean rooms for their hard-earned money. Buying kiosks instead of replacing beds is a problem. The basics matter, and businesses should take pride in them rather than focus on greed. I’ll pay $20 more to stay somewhere else. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice, chatted with us, and greeted us with a smile. I also liked the inviting smell in the lobby from the diffuser.
