Woodstock Inn B&B

We had a large family get-together over the holiday weekend, and it was great having room for all of us to spend time together. The rooms were clean, and breakfast tasted like it had been made with a lot of love. The checkout staff were very kind and answered all our questions during the stay.

For a last-minute, random trip, this worked out better than expected. We found availability for exactly what we wanted, something nearby hotels at the same price didn’t have. Check-in was flexible and we didn’t feel rushed coming or going. The staff were friendly, laid-back, and answered our questions well. The area felt a little sketchy, lol, but nobody bothered us and we still had our own space. Breakfast was a good home-style meal. Well worth it, and I’d definitely book again.

We stayed in the Scottish room, which was thoughtfully put together down to the biscuit tins above the fireplace and the booklets about Scotland in the nightstand. The bed was beautiful and incredibly comfortable. We added the massage package, which was affordable, and the therapists were fantastic. Breakfast was served family style with the other guests, a lovely way to finish our stay and talk over a great meal. The inn was peaceful and idyllic, yet only a short drive from everything we wanted to see around Kansas City, including the stadiums, zoo, and downtown. The two snags were that I didn’t get an initial confirmation, which caused some confusion, though they called back and sorted it out well; and parking only fits the guests. If the inn is full and someone parks badly, you may need to park off site. That’s really down to people not staying between the lines, rather than the inn.

Everyone staying there was quiet and respectful, and the Italian suite was stunning. The innkeeper was incredibly kind and made our late Valentine’s Day getaway feel special. Breakfast was AMAZINGG. I have nothing bad to say and will definitely be back soon. Definitely recommend.
