We needed somewhere to stay while waiting for our new house. The key kept needing to be recoded, so I had to go to the office five times. Some lights looked beat up, and a few didn’t work. Housekeeping never came by, so I borrowed their broom and cleaned myself. At checkout, they said I’d lose my deposit because my babies got ice cream on the sheets and I’d used a dirty washcloth to clean. They told me that’s what their washer is for. I’ve never had to wash a motel’s bedding or towels myself, except when I worked at one. Then they accused me of smoking in the room, even though that same person saw me outside in the cold smoking every day and held their nose as they passed. This is the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in, and I wouldn’t recommend it. If you go, apparently don’t get anything dirty. Laundry was $1.50 to wash and $2 to dry. Breakfast was muffins and apple juice and orange juice, but the juice was empty.

Room 251 was better, though not by much. The water was lukewarm, at least warmer than cold, and there was a usable parking lot. The first room, 221, smelled so strongly of insecticide it was hard to breathe, and a few small roach-like bugs scattered when I turned on the lights. The parking spot assigned to us was unusable too: a square hole on the right with an orange cone in it, where a tire could get stuck.

We decided to leave after looking at the replacement room. My husband checked the bathroom and saw a roach when he turned on the light. The tub looked unclean, there was what looked like a smashed bug on the wall, and hair was on the shower curtain. He couldn’t stop thinking about bugs for a while afterward. The first room was hotter than outside because the AC didn’t work, at least one light was out, and the swing lock was broken. We were offered another room, but left instead. The man at the front desk gave me an email address to request a refund. I’ve sent messages and heard nothing back. DO NOT reserve a room here.

They offered points when I contacted the owners asking for a refund, and we still got no real solution for the trouble. The manager was “unavailable” when we asked for a full refund. We booked two nights and left early, but Krish at the front desk called the police and said we wouldn’t get our deposit or the refund for the night we didn’t stay. Staff kept giving us dirty looks and seemed to be talking about us in their language. Breakfast was only coffee and a muffin. We were disgusted by the whole place. Our first room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled like smoke, so they showed us 8-10 more. They all smelled strongly of smoke, had stains on sheets, towels, trash cans, or AC units, and didn’t seem clean. One room had no lock, which the staff didn’t know about until we pointed it out. There was a woman smoking outside one room they showed us, whose door was wide open, and the smoke was getting in. The front desk person saw it and said nothing until we did. They need to check room conditions before guests arrive, and they shouldn’t call rooms non-smoking when people clearly smoke in them. The microwave was dirty too, and everything smelled bad. We felt it was unsanitary and not what we paid for. I don’t recommend this hotel. Don’t waste your time or money.
