Hotel Indy, Indianapolis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

FIRE was a highlight, the food was mouthwatering. The room had character, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The city views were beautiful, though the noise might bother light sleepers. My only other gripe was the toilet paper, which felt surprisingly cheap for the rest of the experience.

I stayed one Friday night at this Marriott property. The hotel was clean and nice, but billing and customer service made the experience extremely disappointing. I was charged twice, for $221 and $245, for the same night. At the front desk the next morning, staff said they’d fix it and send a receipt showing the refund was being processed. Nothing ever arrived. I’ve called several times since, and no one can tell me where the money is or which card they’re supposed to use for the refund. Three days later, the hotel was still holding extra funds from my bank account for no reason. No employee has apologized or offered a real solution, and I’ve had to call every day just to get an update. I’ve stayed with Marriott many times, but this was easily my worst experience. The hotel may be clean, but the lack of communication, responsibility, and basic service overshadowed the stay. Guests shouldn’t have to chase a hotel to get their own money back. I hope management takes this seriously.

The room was perfect, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had plenty of parking beside the hotel, though we used the valet and found it very good. We walked to the Indianapolis Symphony, which made the location perfect. The TV needs an upgrade, but otherwise everything was tip-top, and we’ll return. Thank you.

The staff made this a really enjoyable stay, and I loved the experience and facilities. Just be aware that the restaurant adds a 20% gratuity to every check. I wish I’d known before paying with my corporate card. Tell them Lashonda sent you ☺️
