Tradewinds All Suite Hotel

The shower was hot, at least. But after paying over $100 per night, I expected more effort with the cleaning. There were hairs all over and blue toothpaste around the sink drain. I should've read the reviews before booking on Capital One. Come on, take some pride in the place.

We booked at the last minute for a concert because it was close to the dome, but we won't do that again. The place was very outdated, the pool was green, towel racks were rusty, and there was a web and spider in the air vent. Our room had space, but the bed was tiny and uncomfortable, really only for one person, not a couple. Getting inside and checking in was a mess. The lobby door was locked, so I called to ask how to enter and was told I had to book online first. That's inconvenient if you can't book online or your phone has died. After I made the reservation, I called back, but the system was slow to show it. The man at the counter read or pronounced the name wrong, then eventually found it. He said he was watching us and insisted we weren't at the door while we were in our car parked right in front of it. He was very rude and disrespectful, with no courtesy or guest rapport. We had no time to find somewhere else, so we decided to ignore him because we only needed a place to sleep.

The rooms were dirty, and the beds had cigarette burn holes. They claimed to have a pool with a bar and restaurant, but that wasn't true. They also required a $100 cash only deposit. The place was ugly and nasty, and didn't look like the pictures. I waited outside for about 20 minutes before we could get in. Once we were buzzed in, no one apologized. The front desk man, half asleep and clearly not wanting to help, had to reset our key so we could open the room door. Coming from Miami to try to have a good experience in Long Beach, this was absolutely not the place. Customer service was nonexistent. I'd give this dump zero stars if I could, and I'll never return.

If you just need somewhere to crash, this is a great choice. The room's bathroom ceiling had mold, and the pool and bar were closed. We also had to pay a $100 cash only deposit.
