I checked in a few minutes after 1500 on Saturday and left about 30 minutes later. I’m thankful they let me check out and refunded me without trouble, but this was the worst Extended Stay America I’ve seen, even compared with roadside motels in awful neighborhoods. The hotel is in a lovely-looking neighborhood, so I don’t understand why it’s so unpleasant inside. When I entered the room with my partner, there was a stale smell. The fridge was missing its front left peg and nearly fell on me when I opened it, a hazard. My partner and I were given a second-floor room. On the way there, two dogs barked aggressively and slammed into the windows whenever we passed, which was hard to avoid with their room right beside the stairs. While I walked my service animal around the lot, my partner unloaded the car. He went to shower because it was over 34°C, and found visible pubic and longer hairs in the shower, plus live roaches in the tub. The bathroom laminate was badly peeling, and mold covered the caulking around the whole unit. The fridge tipped forward every time it opened, and the stovetop was very rusty. I didn’t bother checking the bedding. I booked another hotel, loaded the car back up, requested a refund, and left. The pet arrangements were another issue. Even with my service animal, I couldn’t find a place to dispose of her waste during my one walk in that half hour. I had to use a receptacle at nearby businesses. I only saw the rubbish bins under the stairs as I was leaving, and in the Texas heat I don’t want to go outside and smell animal feces, especially when other people don’t seem to pick up after their pets. Owners, update the rooms, from the rusty cooktops and peeling floors to nearly everything else. Put pet-waste receptacles around the property and maintain them. Housekeeping needs better standards. I don’t want to see pubic hair, long strands of hair, mold, or live roaches, and I’m sure other guests don’t either.

One night here was enough, and I won’t return. The room was filthy, the TV didn’t work, and there were mysterious stains. I was walking around with a towel soaked in bleach and water to touch things. There was a hole in the wall, and the ceiling was falling, possibly from an earlier leak. Absolutely horrible.
Trying to save a couple dollars cost me over $120. I booked two nights after moving out of my place, tired, hot, and dirty, but I never got out of my car or entered the room. After driving around the lot and seeing men there, including one working on a broken-down car that seemed to have been there forever, I didn’t feel safe as a woman alone, even in the middle of the day. I called guest relations to cancel and didn’t want to wait until dark. They reached the front desk, and the woman said it was fine and that she’d refund me. They refunded one day, but not the pet deposit or check-in day. When I called for the manager Monday morning, it took three callbacks to hear they wouldn’t refund the full amount because their camera supposedly showed me entering the room. I offered to return and prove it wasn’t me, since I never got out of my car, but they stonewalled me and basically said they were right and I was wrong. I’m now out $120 for a room I never entered, and I’m no longer in the area, so disputing the charges with my bank will take three months. The front desk woman had a horrible attitude when I arrived. She left me in the office to “talk to the maids” and came back after 10 minutes. I’ll never stay with this company again. Buyer beware, I found the property horribly unsafe for women, and I feel cheated.
The employees were friendly and professional, but the room was awful. There were bugs all over. I killed at least six roaches and more were still crawling around. The room looked like it was falling apart. The tub in the pictures looked clean and decent, but mine seemed barely held together, and the sinks had strange stains or burn marks. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
I was here for one night for work. The place was okay, but the room smelled like smoke and someone had put duct tape on the shower faucet. It was basically just a place to sleep and leave. I wish there’d been a bin for early checkout, since I had to leave it at the front desk. I felt okay doing that because they have cameras. All in all, it was fine.
