Soka Suites Dallas - Las Colinas

For work trips here, Soka Suites has become one of my favorite places to book. It's an easy, reliable choice, and the rooms feel surprisingly roomy for the affordable price. I like the comfortable atmosphere and the value. It's a personal go-to whenever I'm in the area.

The whole property and the suites are really clean and well kept, which I appreciate every time I'm in town. But the reason I keep coming back to Soka Suites-Las Colinas is the front desk team. Deepti, Char and Sinaha are especially kind, professional, friendly, and always happy to help.

I booked through booking.com and they charged my card when I arrived, then corrected it right away. But at checkout they charged it again. My bank confirmed the duplicate charge, and I showed the manager my statement, yet they argued with me and denied doing it. They charged my card twice and completely denied it to my face. This feels like fraud.

The in-unit laundry was the only useful part for me. The Wi-Fi and TV didn't work, the bedroom floorboards were soaked and leaking sticky liquid, and the halls smelled like weed. The pet fee was $125-$135, which they don't mention, and it cost more than the room. I was traveling with a cat and have stayed in nicer hotels that charged $30. At checkout an agitated person who seemed mentally unwell was trying to get into the building. Staff called the police and got me out through a side door. I wouldn't stay here again. Unless you've got a massive dog you can't get in anywhere else, this is a complete rip-off, especially with all the other problems.
