Country Inn & Suites Jacksonville

We stayed two nights, and I couldn't wait to leave. The room was clean, but its musty smell and the overpowering cannabis odor on the first night made it unpleasant. The carpet had so many stains that I didn't want to walk on it. There was also a hot water problem, so our showers were cold to lukewarm. When we asked whether anything could be done for us as guests without hot water, the staff were polite but asked us to be understanding. They offered no concession. My boyfriend and I left disappointed.

The staff were great, and the stay went well from check-in through checkout. Everything was clean, quiet, and well maintained. My room was nice and had a large mini fridge. I didn't get to try the breakfast, but there are lots of places to eat nearby.

It was a convenient stop on our trip, though the hotel badly needs a facelift. The walls were thin, paint was peeling in the room, and the tub had a cheap-looking repair. Everything felt dated. It wouldn't take much to turn this into a five-star review.

A typical continental breakfast is served from 6am - 9am, and there's parking for tractor trailers and other big trucks. I found the place very clean and nice. Every morning I dealt with a man who was really congenial, though I'm not sure whether he was the owner or a manager. I'd definitely visit again.
