Homewood Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Downtown-Southbank

I left my driver’s license at the front desk by accident, and Marc held onto it until I came back to the lobby. Really appreciated that. The rooms were very clean, the service was awesome, and I’d definitely come back.

The rooms were big and very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Parking does cost $20, but I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a beautiful place.

The hot tub was easily the best part, and the location is good, but the stay felt like being in an abandoned condo or Airbnb instead of a hotel. There was nobody at our hotel to check us in, just a sign telling us to go next door. Two women at that front desk teased us, acting like they were closed and weren’t taking anyone else next door. I eventually got a key for my husband while I used my phone. There was no service at our hotel, no market, and no food service, so we had to keep going back to the connected Hilton Garden Inn for anything we needed. It was a nice hotel in some ways, but the experience was weird and really bad. I’m not sure we’ll return. When I travel, I like to feel like I’m at a hotel or resort.
