The service was the best part, and this was the best of the three hotels I tried south of Jacksonville on this trip. It was 1000 times better than the Springhill Suites in Baymeadows. Staff were really good, which is hard to find these days. Breakfast ran until 10 AM, a welcome change from places that stop at nine or quit replenishing by eight. There were different items on each of the two days I was there, and the Saturday biscuits were excellent. I also appreciated seeing someone wipe tables and keep the breakfast area stocked, though the room could be larger. The newly renovated rooms and lobby were quite nice for the price. Some parts seem to have been skipped in the renovation. The side exterior door was battered, some hallway carpet was worn, and paint was peeling off the room doors. These cosmetic issues don’t affect the stay much, but make a bad first impression and seem easy to fix. Grout was left all over the room tiles too, making them look dirty when they aren’t. I saw the same issue in three Jacksonville hotels, so maybe the main renovation contractor needs remedial training.

For a work trip to JAX, I enjoyed my stay and the complimentary breakfast. It wasn’t a bad hotel by any means. My main complaint was the shower pressure, which was awful, barely any water came out. At least it got hot. The body wash was completely empty, which I think should have been caught while cleaning, but that wasn’t a big deal. With normal water pressure, I’d have rated the hotel higher.

A good choice for work stays. It’s a solid mid-grade hotel, clean and comfortable without being fancy, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is decent, though nothing special. My studio had two bathrooms, which was fantastic for sharing with another adult man. We weren’t in each other’s way.

The renovated rooms are nice, and I slept well. The tenant was exceptionally helpful and very nice. I recommend this hotel to others.

I tried to speak respectfully with the staff about my lost cross, but instead of helping, they escalated things and called the police. I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. The professionalism and helpfulness were very poor, and the handling of my lost item was unacceptable. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.
