Timber Pointe Resort

The owner checked me in and was super kind and polite. It was the fastest check-in I've ever had. My only complaint is the signs in every room about cleaning fees or maid costs. They make it feel like the place is eager to charge for extras, which takes away from the welcome. Otherwise, a really nice little place.

The scenery is beautiful, and the owners are fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. The rooms suited us perfectly, with comfy beds. I also liked the bar with its high-top chairs, and having a coffee pot, fridge, and microwave in the room was handy. We'll definitely stay again!

A huge plus for anyone with a boat: there are lots of plug-ins. The place felt like home, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and everything was very clean. The staff were so nice, and it's great to see a family business doing well. They also replied to emails quickly. It's pet-friendly, but please clean up after your animals and show them the respect you'd want for your own place. You can tell they take good care of the property. They worked with us on a late checkout, which we really appreciated. Ten out of ten, we'll be back. Come visit us at Pioneer Motel in Wayne, WV!

I like staying at smaller, locally owned places and don't prefer the local hotel chains. We visit the area often for church in Colombia, so I'd love to come back. I run a cleaning service back home, so I tend to nitpick, and the bathroom fan really bothered me. Aside from that, I love the place.
