Baymont by Wyndham Johnson City

I checked out early, and I’d recommend skipping this place altogether. The room was awful, the parking lot was a pain to enter and leave, and the heater sounded like a diesel engine idling across the room. It had to run constantly because daylight came in all around the door, making it hard to keep the room comfortable. Everything smelled like pot smoke. Breakfast wasn’t worth getting excited about; I’d have preferred decent pastries and bagels. Then I was overcharged by $815 and change, and I believe my credit card number was stolen and used for another charge on the night I checked in.

The rate and location brought my sons and me here after we’d been through something traumatic. We were met with a friendly smile when we arrived, and the room was clean. Housekeeping was very kind. They helped make some very dark days a little easier. Thank you to all the staff.

The place felt safe and was well lit, and the heat worked well. I found the rooms very clean, with comfortable furniture that was a little dated, but I liked it. The shower was nice, and hot breakfast was included.

We needed Baymont at the last minute during a big transition for my family, and it’s helped us feel at home. The kids love making their own waffles and having hot biscuits and gravy, while we adults appreciate having piping hot coffee ready in the morning. The rooms are clean, the staff are cheerful and smiling, and breakfast is delicious. There’s also a large area where we can walk our horse-sized Labrador. I’m so grateful for the stay and would wholeheartedly recommend Baymont by Wyndham to families with several kids.
