The owner was rightly disgusted by what happened and took $25 off the roughly $75 bill. He said he’d personally inspect the room if we stayed again. I know hotel rooms aren’t always spotless, but this was unacceptable: there was a huge sex stain on the bed and blankets. We had a UV light, and I immediately regretted using it. Even the towels had marks, and the freezer in the mini fridge had a very concerning crusty brown spot. Handprints on the window I can sort of understand, but the sheets were a biohazard. We asked for clean sheets and got them right away; the replacements really were clean. The owner needs to have a serious conversation with staff about what cleaning means. The door hanger had an extra little message that really sealed my suspicion this was THE room.

I appreciated the hot water and coffee at the front, and most of the front staff were friendly whenever we came and went during our three-night stay. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows fluffy, and the rooms clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job, with daily service that we hadn’t expected but really appreciated.

The man at the front desk is an absolute sweetheart. Breakfast runs from 6 AM to 9 AM. My room was nice, clean, and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The towels and washcloths were soft and smelled clean. I’ve been traveling across the country from California, and this has been my favorite place to stay. Absolutely recommend.

For FIFTY-SEVEN DOLLARS A NIGHT in Tennessee in 2026, I was shocked to find a hotel with WiFi, breakfast, and even washers and dryers. There wasn’t much breakfast, but still! The customer service was top-notch, and Sherri was sweet the whole time. The small room and smell are drawbacks, but I’d wholeheartedly recommend this place. BEST VALUE IN ALL OF JOHNSON CITY!

My husband and I stayed at Super8 for our first anniversary in September and I left my wedding rings there. That was completely my fault. I called and emailed to ask if they’d send them to me, offering to pay shipping. They said the manager would be in the next day, mail them, and send a delivery code. A month passed, so I emailed again. They asked for a photo of the ID used to book so they could send them to the address; I sent it twice. It’s now been two months and I’ve heard nothing. The hotel itself was fine, and I hate leaving bad reviews, but they literally won’t answer my emails. EDIT, replying to the owner: Please don’t respond disrespectfully, it’ll make you look even worse. You promised on the phone to ship the rings. A very sweet gentleman answered yesterday and apologized profusely for your mistakes; he deserves a raise. Why would I lie about leaving rings with special meaning? The last two photos are from this month. I deleted my other emails because they had a photo of my ID. YOU didn’t answer my emails, so I left a review. This is on you. Thanks.
