Super 8 Kalispell Glacier National Park

At 4 am, after a terrible night, I went out to my truck camper in the parking lot. It was 28° outside, but I turned on the furnace and slept better there for the few hours left than I had in the hotel. The bed was very stiff, the walls were thin enough to hear the neighbors, and breakfast trays were being banged around at 4 am. They also didn’t have sausage or waffles at the breakfast bar?

The staff were nice, and they had snacks out for the Spartan races, which is why I’m giving this two stars instead of one. But the noise and cold, thin bedding made for the worst sleep I’ve ever had. The walls are paper thin, and early in the morning it sounded like a parade upstairs. The blankets were so thin I’m not sure they even count as blankets. Breakfast was another letdown: there were no protein options unless you count the sloppy gravy. Some bacon or sausage would’ve been nice. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The place was very clean, with a good mattress, pillows, and hot water. The carpeted floors meant no all-night noise from people above on cheap plastic floors. There’s a very large TV, too. Breakfast was okay, and the lady who runs it was nice. A well-run operation, and a nice surprise. Thank you!

We stayed two nights and found the rooms clean, the bed comfortable, and the price excellent. It’s a quiet spot in a good location, and the hotel is well run. My only suggestion would be to add some meat to breakfast, like sausage or bacon. Otherwise, nothing to suggest for a nice, budget-friendly hotel.
