The streetcar stop right outside and the helpful service are what made this hotel work so well for my one-night stay without a car. My King room was clean, and I liked having the bed face the window. The AC, shower, and TV system look upgraded. The price felt worthwhile for the location, and I saved on Ubers and a lot of walking. John checked us in, gave us streetcar maps, and was kind and helpful, a great start to the trip. Later, when the ice machines weren’t working, two women at the desk apologized and took me to the kitchen for ice. The next morning a kitchen worker offered to get ice for anyone who needed it, with such a positive attitude she brightened the room. I didn’t catch the two desk employees’ names. My only complaint was that the pillows felt really flat. I could’ve asked for more, but didn’t. I highly recommend the hotel.

We chose this hotel for an easy walk to the T mobile center for a concert. The room was great, the breakfast was good, and getting there on foot was simple. But parking was terrible. The lot beside the hotel isn’t hotel-owned, and the pass says the hotel isn’t responsible for vehicle damage. That already made me uneasy, so I took our valuables out. The next morning, a couple in the elevator told us 12 cars had been broken into overnight. We were glad our car wasn’t among them, especially in the below-zero weather, but seeing so many smashed windows was awful. The hotel can’t control what happens there, but could buy its own lot and gate it. For what we paid for one night, worrying about the car shouldn’t be part of the stay. We probably wouldn’t stay again. It’s not worth the risk.

We stayed two nights in a standard King room. The room layout worked for me, with the bed facing the window, and the AC and heat worked perfectly. The shower was great too. The hotel was so clean my socks stayed clean on the carpet. Parking was easy once we figured it out. I included a photo showing where to park after getting the parking pass and where the entrance is, since it’s off the main street.

The staff were cheerful, the lobby was nice, and the place felt secure and clean. Breakfast was good, and there’s a Starbucks connected in the same building. It’s well located for walking to the convention center and lots of restaurants, with a streetcar stop right outside. I only wish the shower got hotter than warm. Then on day four I figured out I could get a nice hot shower at 5:15 a.m. It was glorious.

The room was spacious and nice, and the front desk staff were friendly and easy to work with. But around 30 vehicles, ours included, were broken into overnight in the hotel parking lot. We had nothing in the car and still had a window smashed. When we told the desk, they didn’t seem surprised. They said this happens ALOT, and it’s common at most downtown KC hotels, so be aware. The hotel itself was great. The front desk employee was very kind, refunded our parking fee, and helped us find a vacuum to clean the car.
