Seashell Motel

For the price, I'd stay here again, but if it cost any more I'd choose somewhere else. The manager was friendly and helpful, and the bikes were really cool. Take a walk to the Conch and the Cuban for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. You'll be glad you did. It's in a great location, but the rooms are basic, just a bed, a small fridge, and a microwave. Ours had a covered window, and the workers above were loud from early morning until late at night. There's construction going on, and it looks like the place may soon become more of a hotel than an inexpensive place to stay.

The staff at Seashell Motel were friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we got there, and made us feel at home. The motel was clean and comfortable, in a great Key West location. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Key West! We were in room 6. 🔑 Ortiz

The outside could use some work, though they're renovating right now. We stayed in room 12, which was nicely finished, cute, and clean. The staff were really friendly, and I have no complaints. A full-length mirror and a small table with a chair would be useful, since sometimes you need somewhere to sit besides the bed. I'd stay again :-)

The room felt more like camping than staying somewhere that cost over $600 for one night. A huge gap under the door and no real separation from the outdoors left us exposed to termites. After dinner, we returned to find them all over the room, and they crawled on us while we slept. There were swarms outside too. When we asked for a partial refund, the answer was no because termites are supposedly normal that time of year. That may be so outside, but not in a room at this price. The room was tiny as well. We moved to another motel for $130 a night and had no bugs crawling in our shorts while we tried to sleep. I've lived in Florida my whole life and never had to sleep with bugs. Seashell Motel spoiled part of our Keys trip. I wouldn't recommend it.
