The location made it easy to walk around Key West, and the unit was very clean. We came as two friends celebrating our 70th birthdays after trading a timeshare. The layout was tough for us: our unit was upstairs, with no help for the luggage, and then there was another spiral staircase to the bedroom. We couldn’t get our suitcases up there, so they stayed in the kitchen. If you’re older, I’d definitely ask for a first-floor unit. For friends of the same sex, having two bedrooms is a must.

Quiet and clean, a few blocks from Duval Street. Truman Annex, Audubon House and Mel Fisher's Maritime Museum are right across the street.

Those two pools make it hard to leave, and the rooms are just the right size. The staff are always friendly. It’s a classic Key West resort under one of the coolest historic trees, close to Duval Street and lots of places to eat and drink.

My mom and I stayed in Room 101 at The Banyan for four nights and had a fantastic time. The place was charming, cared for, and had a relaxing feel, while our room was comfortable after days out exploring. We could walk to downtown, Duval Street, and the pier, so we didn’t need a car. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting.

We had a really relaxing, quiet stay, and the staff were super friendly. Our clean room had air conditioning, a kitchen setup, big windows with plantation shutters, and a view of the pool. The private pool area is surrounded by lovely Banyan trees and other natural greenery, with an outdoor bar open daily. There’s parking in the private lot, and everything is within walking distance. I’d highly recommend it and will be back.
