Day N Night Inn

The quote was $55 plus tax, but once tax was added we paid $64. We had trouble with the door, and there were no instructions for the TV or phone. I also found small black stains on the comforter. The walls and doors were so thin that behind the bathroom it sounded like a laundry room. Around 4 a.m., a couple was arguing loudly outside, so I called the front desk, but the man didn't seem to understand my complaint. The bathroom door wouldn't close because the top was out of joint. Later, once I got it closed, I couldn't open it, and neither could my grown daughter. The front desk man came up and struggled with it too, and gave my daughter a poor attitude while trying. I told the morning clerk I didn't appreciate his attitude and would write a review. She apologized for the way he'd treated us.

The motel itself was quiet around 9:30 pm, and the people staying there seemed calm. One man was even friendly. But I left angry after watching police detain a man who was quietly smoking by a wall on the property. They asked him why he was there, then handcuffed him, put him in a car, searched his vehicle, and later had it towed. From where I stood, I saw nothing in the car that looked like evidence of a crime, and his manner didn't seem hostile or disrespectful. I can only guess that something on his ID, perhaps a warrant, led to the arrest. Based on what I saw and my own experience on both sides of situations like this, I felt the officers were profiling him because of his rough appearance and clothes, then looking for a reason to keep questioning him. I was there only to visit, but after seeing it happen I backed out of the lot and drove away. It bothered me for the 15 minutes home. The motel's location may make it hard for it to be great, but the other guests weren't the problem I witnessed.

The management and staff were really nice, and the accommodations were good. It isn't the Ramada, but it doesn't cost $200 a night either.

Cockroaches were all over the place, including the beds, fridge, and microwave, and the AC didn't work. They said they'd fix it, but nothing happened. Worst motel I've ever stayed in. I wouldn't give it even one star if I could. God bless anyone else who had a bad stay, and don't spend a night here.
