The staff were really friendly, and both the rooms and lobby were neat and clean. I also liked the little extras, from lobby snacks to a range of coffees and teas. We used a gift certificate for our stay and will definitely come back. Great location, and it was nice to be somewhere other than a typical hotel.

The room was cozy, with a nice view and a comfy bed, and the location is fantastic, right across the bridge from Portsmouth. The Water Street Inn grounds and building are beautiful, close to the water and surrounded by a garden. Getting in was easy since everything uses door codes, which made check-in and coming and going a breeze. There were snacks, coffee, and tea in the common area, and the staff were kind and available without being overbearing. Honestly, it was perfect. We'll stay again!

Kittery has some great places to eat, including Black Birch. It’s also home to the stunning Maine State Champion Cork Elm, 98' tall, though the town seems inexplicably determined to smother it with pavement. I won't get into that. We love this inn for its suave rooms, relaxed feel, and great location for a weekend getaway or a stop on our way home.

The bed was super comfortable, and the Water Street Inn was clean and in a great spot close to Portsmouth. We met some wonderful people there too. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely stay again.

It's an ideal spot, an easy walk to downtown Portsmouth. The snacks and coffee were a nice addition between meals out. I'd highly recommend it and would stay again.
