Hampton Inn Knoxville-West At Cedar Bluff

Mae and Nate at the front desk were especially helpful and clearly knew the hotel and surrounding area well. They were happy to answer our questions. The lobby was spotless, and breakfast had plenty of choices. In the room, there was lots of drawer and closet space, a spare blanket, comfortable bedding, a good shower, enough towels, and no bugs. The whole place was very clean, and there were fresh cookies at reception too. We’ll come back when we’re in Knoxville and would recommend staying here.

The breakfast was passable, but there weren’t nearly enough tables or seats. I also had a terrible night on the pullout couch after asking for two beds and being told the bed and sofa bed would be fine. Sound carried straight through the walls: children in the next room were yelling at 7 a.m., then an adult spent ages coughing and gagging in the bathroom. As a business traveler, I’m not impressed with Hampton Inn. Getting online was a hassle, with a demand to join Honors or pay $5.00 per night. The desk staff didn’t help and didn’t seem to care.

Brandon at the front desk really came through when I had a problem to sort out. The rest of the staff were just as welcoming, smiling and making eye contact, and always seemed busy getting things done. The hotel has a pleasant smell throughout, and my room was clean and well supplied with towels and plenty of pillows. I’ve traveled all over the country and stayed in, and managed, a lot of hotels. I’m a hotel snob, and this one is easily in my top five. I’ll fill out the Hilton survey later, but wanted to say that first. You rock, Brandon 🤘

The bathroom products were nice, and there’s a mini fridge in each room. The hotel was very clean and accessible, and both the room and bed were comfortable.
