Hampton Inn & Suites Knoxville-Downtown

The staff were super friendly, and I'd stay here again. For a quieter stay, ask for a room on the less noisy side of the property if one is available. It's a great location for downtown Knoxville, though they charge $20 to park on site. There are nearby garages and lots that cost less, if that matters to you.

The second room, at the back of the hotel with two queen beds, was very nice and much quieter. It also worked well for getting work done, and I slept well during my last two nights. The beds were comfortable and the room felt inviting. I spent four nights here three weeks ago, and the switch made the stay much better. My first room had a king bed facing Main Street SW. It was comfortable, but traffic noise was overwhelming and I barely slept. The hotel offered earplugs and a noise machine, but they couldn't block it out. I asked the next morning about moving, and the staff were helpful, though I had to wait until the following afternoon to change rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was standard Hilton-chain food, nothing special, so on a couple of mornings I walked 5-10 minutes to nearby places for something different. I also liked the lobby decorations for the Tennessee vs. Georgia game, which made for a fun atmosphere. It's a good hotel in a convenient downtown spot. If you're a light sleeper, I'd ask for a room at the back, away from the street.

This was our second stay, and the location and friendly staff made for another great experience. One bed in our rooms was broken, but the staff took care of the problem. The renovated rooms are quite nice, and breakfast was good with items restocked often.

Breakfast ran out of some items. They told me there was more in the back but they wanted to save it for the next day. I asked what about the guests there now, and was told too bad, they needed to keep it for tomorrow. The front desk was rude, and the customer service was very poor. There were hidden fees too. I'm never staying there again. Terrible.
