Holiday Inn Central Papermill

The rooms are great, and housekeeping comes daily to change towels and take out the trash if you want. The housekeepers are sweet, and the staff are friendly. There's always coffee with creamer options in the front lobby. It's pet friendly too, with a pool and workout room.

I was here for weeks for work at a nearby jobsite. I had to switch rooms three times before they gave me a first floor room, and even that one wasn't really up to basic hygiene standards. Rooms had holes in the comforters, dirty toilets, and were generally unpleasant. The manager was unfriendly and disagreeable. In his exact words, they don't trust people until they've been regulars for 3-5 years. That felt like a red flag, especially since this hotel isn't anything extraordinary. At the end, they claimed I'd booked a single bed even though I had proof of a double. When I said I didn't want the receptionist touching my phone without asking, he got visibly frustrated and lashed out, saying, 'you don't have to stay here.' I won't stay again. It also looks like they're trying to dox me by posting my information in their response despite my display name, then calling my honest review slander. Typical.

We stayed a couple nights, my boyfriend and I, and the room was in rough shape. The floors were dirty and there was mold in the shower. Staff were rude and unprofessional, and loud construction carried on all day. They seemed to lack basic courtesy when dealing with guests. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The room smelled nice and was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was fine, and there was a big Samsung TV. The woman at check-in was as sweet and friendly as could be. This was our first time at a Red Roof, and we'd stay again. There are plenty of restaurants around, though you'll need to drive, and I assume food delivery is available. It's close to UT medical center, where we're going.
