Marie and Soni at the front desk made a great first impression when I checked in at the Holiday Inn Knoxville West - Cedar Bluff. They were friendly, professional, and welcoming, and made sure I felt looked after instead of like just another customer. Their attention and willingness to help set the tone for a really good stay. I want to thank them both. They’re a real asset to the hotel, and management should be proud of how they represent the Holiday Inn brand. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Knoxville area.

Nicole and Marie at reception were fantastic, professional and welcoming. Their care for guests really stood out and started our visit on a positive note. The room was a very different story. Dust covered it, and it felt like housekeeping had barely attended to it. That immediately set off allergies for everyone in my party and made the stay uncomfortable. The bathrooms also badly need renovation. They’re well past their prime and need major updates to feel sanitary and modern.

Jeff and the breakfast club make you feel welcome every morning. They’re attentive and warm, and the country potatoes are so good they nearly keep up with the staff. Soni and Marie also came through for me during my fifth stay, getting me a printout I needed for my softball tournament. Thank you both for saving the day and the tournament! This is by far my favorite place to stay in Tennessee. The staff are why I’ll always choose Cedar Bluff Holiday Inn for my yearly tournament in Knoxville. Thanks again, guys. See y’all next year!

On my second visit this year, in February 2026, the room had no carpet or rugs, just a cold, hard floor. It’s still only half updated, and the toilet is tiny in that tight bathroom. I shouldn’t have been placed on the lower level in the pet area. Thanks to Abby C.? I had a long check-in too, over 15 minutes, while the manager dealt with someone’s cancellation points refund on the phone and made a snide remark about me to that person. The next morning I spoke with a professional, friendly woman who said I should receive my points and the trivia bonus points, so service gets three stars instead of one. We hadn’t planned on breakfast after last time, but it was comped and better than before. They even fried two eggs for my wife. The first time, we paid extra for breakfast. Never again. It’s the same kind of food as free breakfasts elsewhere, but not nearly as good. My wife would rather have McDonald’s, and for $15 per person you can go across the street to cracker barrel. On our first stay, the staff were friendly, the room was decent, and we had a pretty good visit. The room was three stars, staff five. I only found out the next morning that the USB outlets were in the clock radio, not in the lamps like at most updated hotels. We liked the bartender then, and still do. She rocks!
