The Heron Inn & Day Spa

After a day in the Cascades and a long drive, I needed somewhere to unwind. I booked The Heron Inn after 7 pm, and Olin kindly talked me through checking in and helped me locate my room. It was spacious and wonderful, a real treat after being on the road all day. The next morning, Olin was attentive and kind, took my breakfast order, and made sure I had what I needed for the rest of my stay. I can't recommend this place enough if you're in LaConner.

Mae gave me one of the best massages I've ever had, just the relaxing, restorative experience I needed. Breakfast was incredible too: perfectly cooked eggs benedict with delicious hollandaise, well-seasoned potatoes, fresh yogurt and fruit cups, and coffee always hot and ready. Tonya was a warm, attentive, professional hostess who made me feel welcome, and Jaime was lovely to meet, friendly and kind, with obvious pride in the inn. The whole stay felt thoughtful and caring. I can't wait to come back!

We arrived by boat and wanted a bed and shower on land, so my wife found The Heron Inn and Day Spa. It was an easy walk from the marina, and since La Conner is small, you can get around town on foot. Our room, #32, was spacious, with a king bed and fireplace, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast and only spoke with staff at check-in. The place was affordable and adequate, though I don't have another La Conner stay to compare it with. It could use maintenance and updates: chipped bathroom bead board, dirty grout, a shower with weak pressure and poor drainage, and paint that could freshen things up. The brownish-green Berber carpet looked old and worn, so it was hard to tell whether it was clean. LVP flooring might be nice, although it could make footsteps overhead more noticeable.

The Heron had delicious breakfast and amazing service. La Conner is a super cute town with great food nearby. I'd recommend it 10/10. We missed out on couple massages, so we'll have to come back for those.
