Baymont Inn & Suites Lafayette/Purdue Area

Check-in was easy and my room was clean, but overnight the power went out. I woke up to a pitch-black hotel, with doors left wide open, even at the staircase leading outside. The front desk didn’t explain anything or offer breakfast somewhere else, and gave no reason for leaving the hotel unsecured. The person just sat behind the desk and said, “hi,” like nothing was wrong.

We got there rooms, so I was able to see three, and each was spacious and clean with a nice-size TV and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff, the price was great, and the free hot breakfast had a decent selection. My only complaint was that the water pressure in the tub could’ve been better. I’d recommend it for a night.

What stood out most was the safety certification posted in the elevator. It gave me the sense that safety is taken seriously, and the room also had smoke and fire detectors and a fixed sprinkler. Check-in was quick, the room was clean, the bathroom exhaust was decent, and Dove products were provided. Breakfast was satisfactory. The hotel has easy Interstate access and plenty of restaurants nearby. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

Everything looked neat, and the room was clean without any wild colors or patterns. The only issue was how loud it got with our room next to the freeway.
