Disney's All-Star Movies Resort

The traffic getting out was wild. I saw a line of cars stretching at least a mile, and the resort only has two car lanes for a location with THREE hotels. They should expand the entry lanes or stagger hotel arrival times. Service was incredible for a budget hotel. The lobby attendants were so friendly, and Mike at the pool bar was helpful and welcoming. In the early morning they played tunes by the bus terminal for Theme barks, which really helped make the park day feel magical. The food court had lots of options for different dietary needs, and there's also a gift shop, pool, and self-service laundry station. For check-in, everyone has a 3 PM time, so arrive early or late. I was lucky to get there at 2, hung out at the pool bar, and got a text right at 3 saying my room was ready. I dropped off my bags, took a quick shower, and headed to Magic Kingdom. The room had a coffee maker with plenty of coffee and tea, a mini fridge but no microwave, a hairdryer, and premium soap and lotion. The resort is right next to Animal Kingdom and not too far from the other parks, though much closer to DAK. If your resort room includes free mini golf on check-in day, the winter/summer mini golf isn't too far away.

The location was great, the buses were easy to use, and the morning greeters by the bus area were a lovely start to the day. They danced, played music, and put us in a happy mood. The outside and surrounding areas were beautifully decorated, but the inside felt flat. We stayed in the Toy Story-themed building, yet the theme didn't continue into the rooms, which felt underwhelming after all the detail outside. We also had an uncomfortable encounter one morning when what looked like a large group of staff, possibly housekeeping, came out of a meeting together. There were probably 20-30 people. Only one person said good morning; several others bumped into my family without acknowledging us and kept talking. The hotel has some good things going for it, especially location and transportation. More indoor theming and more intentional guest interactions would make the stay more memorable.

Courtney from Azz inn took great care of us. She picked us up from the airport, had our rooms pre-booked, and brought refreshments and snacks for our stay. While we were at the parks, she planned our days, from breakfast with Mickey and friends to dinner with the princess, around our group's 6-year-old princess, Meadow. She's an expert at booking ride times and using fast passes. Thank you, Courtney, for helping us make such beautiful memories. We had a wonderful time at the Allstars movie resort. The food choices there made us very happy, and the bus service to the parks was excellent.

The rooms are small, so a family of four may feel cramped, and sound insulation is limited. We could clearly hear plumbing noises whenever people in neighboring rooms used their showers. Bell services were disappointing too. After a long day at the parks, the gentleman we called to ask about our luggage wasn't very helpful or friendly. There were plenty of food court options, which made meals quick and convenient after long park days. The front desk staff accommodated our request for a quiet room, and it was ready before official check-in, which we appreciated. Buses ran frequently to the theme parks, and getting around was easy. We loved the fun movie-themed buildings, which gave the resort a great Disney feel. The kids especially enjoyed the theme. We visited during the Christmas season and had a pleasant stay, particularly for a park-focused trip. All-Star Movies is a solid, budget-friendly choice if you plan to spend most of your time in the parks. The rooms aren't ideal for spending much time in, but we'd consider returning for another park-heavy visit.
