Orlando World Center Marriott

The pools, water slides, and poolside restaurant were a hit for everyone. I’ve also stayed here twice for work conferences with up to 3,000 attendees, and the hotel and elevators somehow rarely felt crowded. It works well for both a big conference and a family trip. I’d recommend it if you’re passing through Orlando.

I was staying at the Marriott sabal palm, but came over to see the laser and fireworks show the other night. It’s nice to be able to use amenities at the other Marriott resorts. At the falls bar, our waitress let us sit at a great table to watch the show without buying food or drinks. We appreciated that, and left right after the show so someone else could have the table. I didn’t get her name, but thanks for the hospitality. Definitely recommend!

The room worked well for our family of five, with a king bed, sofa bed, kitchenette, lots of space, and three TVs. The bathroom, though, was way too small. You could barely get into the shower without banging your elbows or knees on the toilet. The pool area was very clean, with great slides and a lazy river. The poolside bar food was dry and basic for the price. The kids loved the 8 pm light show and music, and Latitude restaurant was great for breakfast, with a good buffet and amazing coffee. Lunch there was good too. The parking garage was convenient, parking was included, and a shuttle took us back and forth. The lifeguards were among the best I’ve seen, very helpful and polite. A great Orlando choice if you have little kids.

The 24-hour food area was a lifesaver when the kids were hungry after long days at the parks. We also found the complimentary shuttle to the Disney resorts convenient, and it was included with the resort fee. Do keep in mind there’s also a parking fee if you drive. There’s plenty for families to do here: activities throughout the day, a nightly light show, and a water area with a huge pool, lots of slides, and four big screens playing cartoons and sports. The hotel is enormous and beautiful, and the staff we met were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It was one of the best family-friendly places I’ve stayed. We had a great time and would happily return.
