Courtyard Lake George

We had a lakeview room with a balcony, a table and two chairs, and a loveseat. It was warm enough to eat outside and enjoy the view, which was such a treat. The room was clean and comfortable, with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. This was our second stay and we love it here. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Thanks to the front desk, housekeeping, and Charlie's for making a lovely visit even better. We were sad to leave and can't wait to come back.

Everything we needed was an easy walk away, and the rooftop lounge had an awesome view. The price was great for this location, the rooms were immaculate, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Thanks, we'll be back!

I was traveling alone this time and feeling pretty weary, and the friendly, helpful staff made me feel welcome. This was my second stay, and both times I got an excellent, clean room, even though the rates are a little higher than some budget places. I figure there may be a reason those cheaper options cost less. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit hard. The room had plenty of amenities, a large closet, and a very useful refrigerator and microwave. I loved the in-room coffee maker and kept a small milk in the fridge for my coffee. The lighting in the bathroom was excellent, with lots of room for toiletries, a grab bar in the tub shower, and great water pressure and temperature. There wasn't a magnifying mirror, so I brought my own just in case. The restaurant may not look fancy, but the food was amazing and gourmet. On my first night, I was exhausted and had a headache, and Janice and the other women serving dinner were incredibly kind. Janice especially understood how tired I was. I savored the tomato basil soup, and the steak was tender, served with fresh roasted green beans. I was grateful there was a small shop with medicines and a few food necessities. There's also a full selection of candy, snacks, gum and soda, plus a gift shop and bagged coffee shop. Breakfast isn't included, but the restaurant isn't overpriced and is worth it. The bar was pleasant, with happy patrons. Last night I had a delicious grilled chicken Caesar salad in the spacious bar dining room, and it was just right. I'll come back even if this place costs more than other hotels and there are better deals around. It's a solid choice for the usual hotel experience.

The hotel is right on the main street, just steps from the lake, and we stayed on a quiet Monday in the off-season when it was almost empty. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I generally enjoy the service and comfort at Marriott hotels, and our room here was clean, nice, and well maintained. We really liked the lobby bar. The bartender was warm and welcoming, and even though the restaurant was about to close, they still served us. We appreciated it, and the food was delicious. That friendly service made our evening. We had a good stay and would recommend the hotel. The one disappointment was being assigned a parking lot view when the hotel was nearly empty. It seemed like we were the only guests, so we were surprised not to have a lake view. We would have loved to see the lake scenery.
