Holiday Motel

I ended up in Lamar during a motorcycle trip and really liked this place. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed was nice, and the price was great. Mike is friendly and gives motorcycle riders a discount. You can park right outside your room. I'd definitely stay again.

The price was perfect, and my room was huge, bright, clean, and smelled great. I smoke, but usually avoid smoking rooms because they tend to look dirty, smell bad, and turn dingy yellow. Not this one. The bathroom was surprisingly large, clean, and bright, and the window actually opens for fresh air. You can even holler down to Mike when he's outside. The bed was especially comfortable, with the kind of pillows I like, not those giant, hard ones. I met Keith and Dozer while I was there and hope to see them next time. Check out the lobby too, I could've spent hours there. Mike's an amazing guy, so ask him about his life adventures. I stayed an extra night because it was so pleasant, and I'll stay here whenever I get the chance. Can't wait to come back! I wrote a long review earlier, but it isn't showing up. I'll try again later.

There are about 30 rooms in this older hotel. It's safe and fairly clean, though not fancy. My room had a small fridge and microwave, and there was plenty of parking, including space for larger vehicles in back. If older motels aren't for you, you'll pay twice as much somewhere else.
