Dutch Wonderland Inn

The kids’ favorite thing was the bunk beds, with a TV at each bed. Staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, and I liked being able to use the QR code to ask questions or get problems foxed. The location worked well for going back and forth to the park. The evening activities, like bingo, were fun for the kids, and arcade cards were part of the prize. The rooms had been updated but still needed work. Paint was peeling and cracking in the bathroom, the tub drained poorly even during showers, and we had to check that the toilet had stopped running each time it was flushed. The indoor pool was okay, but it needed repairs too.

Check-in on 5/13 went well, and the staff were nice and friendly. The room was okay, but pretty dark and could use more lighting. The walls are thin enough that we heard the TV and people talking next door. We were on the second floor by the stairs, and every time someone walked on them it sounded extremely loud in our room, like the Fourth of July. Otherwise, it wasn’t bad.

The staff were great. The hotel is right on a busy road, though, and getting in and out can be difficult sometimes.

Ugh, book somewhere else nearby, trust me. It was dirty with bugs everywhere. When we checked in, the towels were literally in the toilet and the TV didn’t work. We called the desk right away, but no one came for three hours. The kids were restless after a long drive with nothing to distract them. We called again and someone brought a bag of towels, but nobody ever fixed the TV. It’s not even worth $50 a night. Depending on where your room is, it’s at least a 10-minute walk to the wonderland, so it’s not very close. There’s a Wyndham right across the street, which is probably better. Anything would be. I hate writing bad reviews, but this place just isn’t it, a glorified motel 6.
