We used to love staying here, but lately the upkeep has slipped. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty, and the toilet kept running overnight. They fixed those things after we reported them. The dining room seats badly need updating, too. I got three snags in my skirt from one of them.

You can pretty much walk to another Tanger outlet right across the way. The room was cozy and had lots of fun stuff, and the TV worked. Staff were friendly, there was plenty of seating at breakfast, and it was all really nice. Breakfast was included and tasted better than at most hotels I've visited.

Ask for JADYN at the front desk. He's a real professional, gave us local restaurant information, and has a great sense of humor. The hotel is close to the local Amish attractions, and the parking lot felt safe and was well lit at night. We stayed two nights in a comfortable, tastefully decorated, super clean room. Breakfast was great, and the lobby is a comfortable place to watch a football game with a cocktail. This is a wonderful, clean, safe hotel, and I highly recommend it. We'll stay again.

I used a Marriott Free Night Award to book a night. With bad weather expected, I called a day ahead to ask about canceling and was told I'd lose what I'd paid if I canceled. So I kept the booking in case I could still travel. The next day, the hotel called to ask if I was coming, and I said I couldn't make it. The day after that, an extra one-night charge appeared on my credit card, even though the reservation had been paid with the award. I contacted the hotel, and the receptionist said she'd check with her manager and follow up by email. Three days later, there was no reply or refund. When I called again, another receptionist, Sara, said it was a no-show fee. I understand and accept losing the Free Night Award under the cancellation policy, but charging my card as well means being charged twice for that night. I was told, “That’s how it works.” I asked for that explanation in writing and was promised an email, but it never arrived.

We stayed three nights to take our toddler to Dutch Wonderland for Happy Hauntings. A nor'easter disrupted the plans, so we spent more time than we'd hoped in the hotel, figuring out what to do. I'd call the hotel mediocre, but I'd absolutely stay again. For me, booking directly with Marriott matters when it comes to getting a good room. I think reviews should say whether a stay was booked direct or through a third party like Expedia or hotels.com. You get what you pay for. Being able to walk to DW and chain restaurants was handy. Breakfast was included. There were no waffles Monday through Wednesday, but around 8-9 each morning the oatmeal and cereal bar, apples, oranges, bananas, bagels, English muffins, cream cheese, jam, and hot options were well stocked. Those hot choices included eggs, a meat, and at least one kind of Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich. We had room 204, a double-queen “suite” with a living room and desk nook. It was spacious, and the nook fit our toddler's travel bed with its blackout tent. She mostly played there, so it worked like a playroom. The bathroom had lots of shelves and counter space for toiletries. There was also a coffee maker and fridge in the room, and all the staff were super friendly. A few things could be better. During busy hours, the shower had trouble staying hot. The pool was very small, with only a tiny three-foot section for kids, and didn't seem well heated. We think that may have been due to the nor'easter, since the power flickered. At a hotel across from a kids' theme park, I'd have liked park maps at the desk, a step stool to reach the bathroom sink, more kids' TV channels, and a better pool area or toys. There was only Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, and, as far as I could find, PBS once. We could hear heavy footsteps upstairs and the neighbors next door, though the hotel was otherwise quiet for a mid-October visit. It was much quieter than Cartoon Network across the street, where we stayed before having a child around the same time of year. One elevator seems to have been out for much of the year, but we were on the second floor and could use the stairs.
