Oxford Suites Lancaster

I've stayed here three times now. The kitchen suites having a full-sized fridge is a big plus, and I like the complimentary drink at the social. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast is good. Dinner is just okay, but it's free, so I'm sure I'll be back.

For the price, I'd rather have a clean, updated room and the basics in the room than a cheap drink and a not-so-good microwaved meal. The price includes a drink and a so-called dinner, but that wasn't enough to make up for the rest. My room's couch was pretty much unacceptable, and the rooms definitely need an upgrade. Housekeeping has to be requested 24 hours ahead, but nobody explained that at check-in. I found out when I called for extra towels and toilet paper, which I then had to walk back to the service desk to pick up.

The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast and dinner are included during the week, which is a nice extra. It's not a five-star place, but it covers a lot of needs for the fair price. I'd stay here again.

We were here for three nights during the week of 03/07/2023, and Israel welcomed us at check-in. Everything went smoothly, and he explained the made-to-order breakfast and where to park for easy access to the room. He was warm and upbeat. The bed was comfortable, the fridge was a decent size, and the shampoo and conditioner were better than what I use at home. Breakfast was delicious each day, and the pool was nicely heated. The man who cooked breakfast during our last two days was cheerful, a great cook, and fun to talk to. I was disappointed that the hot tub didn't work. Another staff member tried to fix it, but it still wouldn't run. The hallways smelled of marijuana. I know the hotel and staff can't control everything inside the building, and some guests don't respect the rule about smoking outside. Apart from those issues, the stay was relaxing and pleasant. I'll definitely come back. Thank you!
