Fairfield Inn & Suites Lansing at Eastwood

On my first Lansing layover in January 2026, our flight crew arrived just before midnight, when it seemed everything nearby was closed. Dave&Busters next door had shut for the night. After checking in, I found my room spacious, clean, and well organized, with a thoughtful layout, a nice bathroom, and strong water pressure. The temperature was actually right for a hot shower, which was a relief after the cold shower at the non-Marriott hotel we’d used the night before. I appreciated the mini fridge, microwave, and little coffee and tea maker, since our workday can leave us without a chance to eat. Seeing both the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon in the bedside drawer was refreshing, too. I went downstairs after changing out of my uniform to look around and vlog. The indoor inground pool, which I believe was heated, closed at 10p.m. A small gym was next to it, both behind glass doors with guest key card access. I also checked out the lobby shop. I hadn’t eaten since 10am at the first of three layover hotels on our four day flight sequence, so the microwave meals, frozen items including ice-cream and ice-cream sandwiches, soups, candy, chips, snacks, and necessities were helpful. Ahmad at the front desk was gracious and understanding when I had trouble trying to buy something. He went above and beyond to help, and I’m sure he’ll remember me.
