Motel 6 Laramie

The service from both the manager and the staff was amazing. It seems like the real problem is that corporate won't spend the money to fix damaged things. I think the owner of this location needs to put more into the business so it can bring in more money.

The room didn't live up to the promise of the online photos. I wasn't expecting anything close to five-star, just a clean place, but there were black hairs all over our towels, something in the shower, and the sheets didn't smell clean.

Jack at the front desk was courteous and very friendly when I checked in, and helped me out. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and at this price I couldn't ask for much more.

We left and found another hotel, even though we'd already paid, because we didn't want to be there after dark. The grounds had no real landscaping, the pool was closed, and the buildings were literally crumbling. The neighborhood felt like a dystopian post-apocalypse movie, and some guests hanging around outside the rooms added to that impression. We couldn't tell if they were offering pharmaceutical or companionship services, or if they were just sketchy. It's a hard review to write because the front desk woman was helpful and friendly, and the room interiors had been updated at some point, but those positives were outweighed by the rest.
