I’ve never stayed at a Baymont this bad. The place is old and dated, with stains on the chair, towels, sheets, and comforter. None of the pillows on either bed had pillowcases, and the TV didn’t work. The deadbolt was the only extra lock, and I felt unsafe. It was loud constantly. The bar next door only opens on weekends, and the huge Praying Mantis makes noise until 11pm, then things get quieter. The paint doesn’t hide how worn out it is, like putting lipstick on a pig. Pffff, I didn’t have my glasses on when I read the stars.

For a business trip or regular travel, I’d avoid this place. Maybe it works if you only need somewhere to sleep after clubbing at 5am. The room air smelled really bad, and the white towels looked decades old. Downtown Las Vegas club music kept blasting until 5am, so I was awake all night. There was one person covering the front desk around the clock, and she shut the reception door and went to sleep. I was told breakfast ran from 0600-900, but at 8am the door was locked. I rang the bell, and when the receptionist appeared to be asleep in back, I asked for breakfast. She passed me a bag through the window with two bananas and apples (see picture). Despite all that, I paid $139 for the night. After checking out, I drove 15 minutes and found a different hotel with a clean room and towels, no noise, 24-hour reception, and hot breakfast for only $112 a night. I usually read reviews before booking, so I don’t know why this place has 3.9 stars.

It’s an old motel with a Wyndham rebrand, and my room had dirty floors and a TV that wouldn’t work. I called the front desk but got no answer, and it took about 45 minutes for someone to come set up the TV. The “free breakfast” was another problem. At 7:00am nothing was set up and nobody was at the desk. When I came back at 8:15, the person there said breakfast was from 7-8 and I was late. 🤔

I was blown away by how bad this hotel was compared with its pictures. The room looked recently renovated, with furniture left outside a couple of rooms on the balcony, but the furniture inside was scratched, damaged, and had broken drawers, like it came from a liquidation place. The floor was gross, the bed was rock hard and only about six inches thick, and there was nasty stuff in the tub when I checked in. The sheets had stains too. The bathroom window in my first-floor room wouldn’t close or lock. The front door wouldn’t deadbolt because the strike plate was upside down. Outside, a fire-breathing mantis across the street was pretty cool, but it played music and shot loud, bright fireballs until 2am. A party in the hotel parking lot went on until around 4am. If you’re in your 20s and need a place to crash while partying downtown, maybe it’s fine. If you want to sleep, look elsewhere. This was the first time I’ve ever left a review. I’d spend a couple extra bucks to stay somewhere else.

The place was dirty and poorly maintained, and it was very loud, with club noise going until 4am. My window was cracked and held together with packing tape. The door jamb was barely attached and the deadbolt didn’t work. The bathroom was filthy, the soap and shampoo were empty, and the toilet paper holder was broken.
