This place is awful for the price. There’s no real room convenience, no closets, shelves, shoe racks, or anything like that. The WiFi is very poor, and the rooms stay cold even with the heater turned all the way up. The water probably still doesn’t get hot. There’s a junk car in the parking lot and the brick fence is broken up. The owners aren’t advertising the truth, and there’s no complimentary breakfast. Run from this place.

I won’t stay here again. There wasn’t a pet relief area on the property, so it didn’t feel very pet friendly. In the room I was moved to, the curtains closed and the door had a lock, but the vinyl floor was cracked and uneven. The bed was okay, just an old mattress with metal coils, and I woke up at 5:45am when someone upstairs flushed the toilet. My first room smelled stale, had no door lock, and the curtains couldn’t close because there were only three hooks for two panels.

Cheap and close to the interstate, and the lady at check-in was nice. Those are the only good things I can say. The room was extremely dirty and run down, and the neighborhood felt sketchy.

I’ve never seen a nastier room. It was filthy in every corner, with hair and actual dirt on every surface. The floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and the beds were sickening. The sheets, blankets, and pillowcases were covered in stains and holes. There was even a urine stain on an uncovered mattress. Worst of all, bed bugs were crawling on me less than ten minutes after I sat down. The woman at the front desk just said, “we don’t have bed bugs.” I’d booked through Booking.com, and knew those reservations were nonrefundable, but I tried to get a refund so I could leave. I was on the phone with Booking.com in the lobby with the desk clerk there, so she could hear everything. After a long wait on hold, the representative said I could get a refund if the hotel authorized the email Booking.com sent. The woman confirmed the email had arrived but said the GM, who I believe is the owner, had to authorize it. She gave me a printout with a cancellation number, making it sound like the refund would come the next evening when the other person came in. Over several days and multiple calls between Booking.com and the hotel, I kept being told to wait another 24-48 hours from that moment. Eventually I told the owner I was done being jerked around and was close to involving the police. He cut me off and literally yelled over the phone that I shouldn’t get “irate,” and that he was being “nice” by helping even though he didn’t have to. I don’t know what help he meant, since he wouldn’t reply to a simple email I knew they’d received. Then he blamed me for “being cheap” and booking through Booking.com. I was traveling after my third family loss in less than two years and, of course, was trying to save money. I expect him to leave a snarky reply, since it looks like he has done that on many negative reviews. If he put that effort into the hotel and treating guests properly, maybe things would be different. I’ll add a few of the photos I took. I hope the $70 was worth thousands of people hearing what I went through and how disgusting a place they’re willing to rent out. Save yourself the headache and don’t give them your time or money.
