Super 8 Lexington Winchester Rd

We stopped for one night to rest before continuing the next day. The place is just a few turns off I-75, with a nice location, clean rooms, and good prices. Check-in was easy. We didn’t use the amenities, but the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels.

Roaches were crawling all over the place, and there was a three-inch gap in my room 101 door, so people could see all the way in even with it closed. Needles had been left in the garbage can by previous renters. Dogs across the hall barked all day and night, and I didn’t sleep for even a minute. I filed complaints with the state and took pictures. I’ll be getting a refund, or else.

The employees were the most patient and understanding I’ve dealt with at a hotel in years. The room was small, so I can’t give it five stars, but it was exceptionally clean, quiet, and very clean. I gave the location four because I don’t know the area and didn’t go anywhere. The only downside was no breakfast. Come on, guys, we’ve got to eat. Thank you to the amazing staff.

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was crawling with roaches. The first thing I saw was what looked like cockroaches having a “gang bang” in the tub, and I counted more than 40 after inspecting. When I told the woman at the desk, she didn’t offer another room or a refund. She handed me a big jug of insect spray and told me to bring it back when I was done. I spent the night trying to exterminate them. In the morning I showed her a few photos and asked for a refund. She said I had to speak to the manager. When I asked when the manager would be working, she said she was off for the next two days, so to try again then. I did, but they claimed too much time had passed. I explained why I’d waited, and the manager then said I must have misunderstood because she had actually worked those days. I’m never staying at another Super 8. This one needs to be shut down, treated thoroughly, and staffed with all new people.
