Comfort Inn & Suites near Route 66

The only good part was the nice woman at the desk when we checked out. I left feeling sore, exhausted, and filthy. As a Choice Rewards member, this was my worst stay ever. We went through three rooms before getting one that was barely livable. The first smelled moldy, hadn't been cleaned, had hair in the tub, no towels or toilet paper, a constantly running toilet, and broken AC. The second also smelled moldy, was filthy, and had broken bathroom tiles with sharp pieces and a soft floor by the tub. The fridge was loud. The third smelled a little cleaner, but the bathroom still had hair and black handprints in the tub and on the walls. There were bugs in the light fixtures, a nasty showerhead, toothpaste on the mirror, serious water damage and bulges in the ceiling, dirty clothes in the drawers, and ripped carpet. The carpet was filthy and sticky in all three rooms. The bed was so uncomfortable it felt like sleeping on top of a triangle. The woman who checked us into all three rooms said she was sick of dealing with the property and coworkers not doing their jobs. She said she had to move people around every shift and fix other people's mistakes.

We only found out at check-in that the pool was closed. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned and smelled horrible, the bed looked like it hadn't been washed, and the curtains wouldn't close.

I got in at 3 am and had to drive 1,600 miles that day, but the staff started waking me at 7 and kept doing it every 15-30 minutes, even after I explained checkout was at 11. I was exhausted. They don't give a shit!

My company and I stayed here for work, and everyone with me had a similar or worse experience. I was there for around 10 days, and they never cleaned my room, despite telling me they would clean every three days, which is already stretching it. Breakfast in the morning was nothing special, though I didn't expect much from a hotel. The staff seemed slow and unmotivated when I arrived. The room smelled musty, though at first glance it looked decent. Looking closer, the bedding had stains, bathroom tiles were loose, the shower curtain was dirty, and flies were around the room. The microwave smelled horrible when opened, and there was food under the fridge. If you're looking for a hotel, stay across the street.
