The Village of Loon Mountain, a VRI resort

The location on kancamagus made it convenient for visiting lots of attractions, and the views were great. The rooms were comfortable, the bed and kitchen were good, and there was hot running water and very good heating and AC. There’s no elevator to the higher floors, and for towels or anything else you need to go to the front desk. The window in my room was stained and obscured the view. I’d still come back 👌🏼🥰🥰

The place feels nostalgic to me, and it’s very family-friendly with plenty of amenities. It hasn’t changed much or had many updates over the years, so it’s definitely not modern. We love exploring the area in summer too, and the location feels central. Being across from the mountain is great, and we love the shuttle during ski season. My family has two timeshares here, and I’ve been coming for decades. There are lots of core family memories across generations, and now my kids have them too. We have timeshares in both winter and summer, but it’s become harder to stay because they now do so many non-timeshare rentals. It seems they’re catering to Airbnb rentals instead of timeshare owners, which feels unfair and dubious.

The only snag was a food smell in the unit when we arrived. We sprayed some air freshener and opened a few windows for a while, and it was fine after that. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the property was clean, with nice amenities like the pool and game room. There’s a playground too. Some people might find the place a little dated, but our unit had updated bathrooms, a nice kitchen, and a relaxing fireplace. Sitting by it with my morning coffee on a chilly early fall morning was lovely. It’s right off the Kancamagus highway near Loon Mountain, so the location’s very convenient. We had a nice stay and will be back.

Our unit had three floors and two bathrooms, with plenty of room for our family of eight. We enjoyed the stay and would go back. The scenery would be great in winter, with a perfect view of Loon Mountain. Parking was a bit frustrating. Some people didn’t park in front of their own units, and a few parked in front of the stairs leading to ours. It was busy during our family vacation weekend, even though we thought we’d beat the leaf-peeping rush. I’d visited the year before while renting a townhouse down the street and using their facilities, so this time I booked at the complex itself.
