Galaxy Inn & Suites

The room was nice, and the place looks clean and fairly new. Service was about average. One downside: they still charge for a registered service dog.

The staff were really kind, and I feel bad writing this because they were so nice, but people should know. I was driving back from vacation and chose this as the only hotel in the area whose reviews didn't mention roaches. That turned out to be wrong. We saw two in the eight hours we were there. I was too scared to bring our things inside, so we used our own pillows and left them behind. The neighborhood wasn't great. I saw some shady things happening near the mcdonald's, though the police station behind the hotel was a plus. The room was gross and run down, with something dried on the wall. The hotel pillow looked like it had washed-out blood stains. The door looked as if it had been kicked in. One of us slept with a chair in front of it while the other stayed awake watching for bugs or someone trying to break in. I got bites on my legs from something. I didn't dare try the shower, so I can't comment on it. If you can avoid the hotels in this area, that's probably best.

The staff were very friendly, and the price was affordable for the week I stayed. It's in a great spot by the highway, with some shops around the area. I'd definitely stay again if I pass through. Thanks for everything.

The owners were very nice and friendly. I liked the location too, since it's by the state police.
