We were told there were no rooms, even though we’d reserved online through Priceline and could still see six available when we booked. We arrived about 45 minutes later with our confirmation numbers. In the lobby, there were several unsupervised children, around six to twelve years old, and a note on the front desk window said there was no clerk and to ring the bell. We waited close to ten minutes before a man came to help us. When he said he had no rooms, we asked why we’d been able to reserve rooms that weren’t available. He got loud and rude, accused us of having attitudes when we were only asking what happened, and threatened my husband with bodily harm. He yelled for us to leave his property, saying he was 39 and the owner, though I don’t know why that was meant to matter. He terrified our elderly aunt, as well as the children left unsupervised in the lobby. For your safety and sanity, I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

It seemed a little off at first, but it was quiet and relaxing once we settled in. The hotel is older, though a really nice couple has taken it over and is doing a great job remodeling. With the updated rooms and affordable prices, you get close to a five-star hotel.

The carpet was filthy, and the rooms don’t have AC. When I asked the owner for a room with AC, he slammed the door in my face and said, “All rooms are like that, this place is old.” You’d be better off sleeping in your car.

I arrived after 9 p.m. with a reservation, but the front desk said there were no rooms. I could still book one on their website, though. I was left stranded.
