We needed reliable high-speed Wi-Fi for a school exam, and I offered to pay the extra $10. Jordan wouldn’t help, so I had to find the upgrade online myself. I also asked about using a private room or business center for two hours, since that was a big reason we chose this hotel, but got no support. The room was dirty when we finally got in: hairs on the bed, stains, and unclean surfaces. We had to clean it and cover the stains ourselves. When I reported it, Jordan was rude and dismissive, repeating that there was “nothing she could do.” There was no room change, upgrade, or fix. We were told to deal with it for the night. We’d asked for a first-floor room near the laundry area. My wife waited in the lobby for more than three hours because of a mix-up between the desk and housekeeping. In the end, they put us nowhere near the requested spot and said the hotel was “fully booked,” though the website showed rooms available. During our several-day stay, housekeeping made the bed and left two towels, but didn’t really clean. They didn’t take out trash, vacuum, wipe surfaces, or replace toilet paper and soap. It felt like cleanliness didn’t matter. The whole stay was uncomfortable and stressful, and the lack of basic service and courtesy left us feeling dismissed and even discriminated against. From November 30 to December 5, this was one of our worst hotel experiences. We won’t return. I hope management takes this seriously.

My car was still at the mechanic when checkout came around, so I asked Errianna for two more hours. She was completely fine with it. I later waited in the lobby while the car was still being worked on, and we had a nice chat. She even brought me another welcome gift, with water and treats. Joann also made a lovely first impression at check-in. I travel often, and that process can feel mechanical, but she was warm, kind, and sincere.

It was a hectic night because the system was down, but Douglas at the front desk handled it really well. Springhill suites is lucky to have him.

The pool was a letdown. The water looked really cloudy, and the hot tub had lots of bubbles when its jets were on. My eyes burned even while I was just in the room as my kids swam, which didn’t make it seem well cared for. Breakfast was better than average, with plenty of choices and different main dishes each morning. Staff kept it stocked, so there was food even toward the end of breakfast. The place was clean, check-in was easy, and the rooms felt bigger than a typical hotel room. I liked having the toilet separate from the shower, with its own sink and mirror in each area, which made it easier for several people to get ready. The ventilation fans in both spaces didn’t work, though, so steam and smells from showers or the toilet had nowhere to go. The location is right in the heart of Logan, an easy walk to good restaurants and a short drive from Logan canyon.

The internet was eventually fixed by the next morning, after I contacted marriott service on X. When I first reported that we could connect to Wi-Fi but had no internet, they should simply have acknowledged it and said they’d look into it. Instead, I was told through the app to call an 800 number. At the front desk, I got a card with that same number and was told to call there too. Marriott now seems to use a centralized internet “help” desk. Guests shouldn’t have to spend time troubleshooting an outage with a non-native speaker who may be in another country. They also asked for my email address. I asked how I was supposed to know whether the problem was in my room or throughout the hotel, and the representative hung up after I pushed back. The staff and Marriott handled this outage with terrible customer service, passing the work onto guests and sending them to incompetent phone support. There were other annoyances too. The app’s dining option listed a nearby restaurant but gave the hotel’s number, which went to a full voicemail box. The room itself was fine, though the shower layout was poorly designed. Breakfast was average, and turkey sausage knocks a hotel down in my book. The location was okay, but traffic made it a little noisy. That’s why I gave one star.
